The thick rainbands associated with the combined effects of the surge of NORTHEAST MONSOON (AMIHAN) enhanced by Tropical Storm TEMBIN (VINTA) will bring moderate to extreme rainfall (30 to more than 100 mm) over Northern Ilocos Norte, Northeastern Cagayan, Eastern Isabela, Eastern Quezon Province, Polilio Island, Camarines Norte, Eastern Camarines Sur, Eastern Albay, Eastern Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Oriental Mindoro, Aklan, Capiz, Eastern Iloilo, Northern Negros Occidental, Southern Bohol, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Southern part of Leyte, Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands, Misamis Occidental, Northern and Eastern Lanao del Norte, Northern Lanao del Sur, Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, Northern Cotabato, Northern Davao del Sur, Davao del Norte, Compostela Valley, Davao Oriental, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Surigao del Norte, and Camiguin today through Friday afternoon (December 22). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE, RED, and VIOLET Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
