Rain Alert Update No. 08 (As of 5:10 PM Sat Jan 26, 2019)

The strongest cold surge of Northeast Monsoon (AMIHAN) coupled with a Tail-end of a Cold Front that extends well into Mindanao, will bring moderate to heavy rainfall (30 to 100 mm) across Dinagat Island, Siargao Island, Surigao Del Norte, Surigao Del Sur, Agusan Del Norte, Agusan Del Sur, Camiguin Island, Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, Misamis Occidental, Zamboanga Del Sur, Lanao Del Norte, Lanao Del Sur, Maguindanao, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, Sarangani, Davao OccidentalSarangani Island, Davao Del Sur, Davao Del NorteSamal Island, Compostela Valley, Davao Oriental & the Sulu Archipelago – Today through Sunday afternoon (January 27). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE RED Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides. Elsewhere, the Severe Weather Warning has already been lowered.
