Rain Alert Update No. 08 (As of 04:00 PM Wed December 20, 2017)

The thick rainbands associated with the surge of NORTHEAST MONSOON (AMIHAN) [enhanced by Tropical Storm KAI-TAK (URDUJA)] will bring moderate to heavy rainfall (30 to 100 mm) over Cagayan, Northeastern sections of Isabela, Apayao, Eastern sections of Kalinga, and Kalayaan Island Group today through Thursday afternoon (December 20). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE and RED Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
