The surge of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring moderate to heavy rainfall (30 to 100 mm) over Occidental Mindoro incl. Lubang Island, Northwestern & Southwestern Oriental Mindoro, Central & Southern Zambales, Western & Southern Bataan, Southernmost Pampanga, Southwestern Bulacan, Metropolitan Manila, Western Rizal; Northwestern Laguna, Cavite, Central & Western Batangas, Southwestern Romblon, Pamalican Island, Western Aklan incl. Boracay, Antique, Westernmost Capiz, Westernmost Iloilo, Southern Guimaras, Northernmost part of Northern Palawan, and Calamian Group of Islands today through Monday late afternoon (July 16). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE and RED Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
