The combined effects of the Trough of Tropical Disturbance (LPA) 91W [KABAYAN] and Tropical Storm LINGLING [LIWAYWAY] and the prevailing Southwesterlies (WEAK HABAGAT) is bringing moderate to intense rainfall (30 to more than 100 mm) across Batanes & Babuyan Island Group, Cagayan, Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metropolitan Manila, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Lubang Island, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Kalayaan Island Group, Calamian & Quiniluban Group, Cabulauan Island, Cuyo & Cagayancillo Islands, Aklan, Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras Island, Negros Occidental – Today through Tuesday evening (September 03). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE, RED & VIOLET Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides. Elsewhere, the Severe Weather Warning has been lowered.
