The Southwest Monsoon (HABAGAT) is bringing moderate to heavy rainfall (30 to 100 mm) across Batanes Island Group, Babuyan Island Group, Cagayan, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Ifugao, Nva. Vizcaya, Quirino, Nva. Ecija, Aurora, Tarlac, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Metropolitan Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, Lubang Island, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Calamian Group, Group of Coron Island, Quiniluban Group, Cuyo Island, Cagayancillo Island, Semirara Island, Boracay Island, Romblon, Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Iloilo, Guimaras Island, Palawan & Kalayaan Island Group – Today through Monday evening (September 16). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE & RED Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides. Elsewhere, the Severe Weather Warning has now been lowered.
