The cold surge of Northeast Monsoon (AMIHAN) is still underway, bringing moderate rainfall (30 to 50 mm) across Albay, Sorsogon, Romblon, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Ticao Island, Masbate, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Homonhon Island, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Dinagat Island, Siargao Island, Aklan, Capiz, Iloilo, Negros Occidental, Cebu & Bohol – Today through Friday afternoon (January 25). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides. Elsewhere, the Severe Weather Warning has already been lowered.
