Rain Alert Update No. 05 (As of 11:30 AM Mon June 11, 2018)

The Southwest Monsoon (HABAGAT) enhanced by Tropical Storm MALIKSI (DOMENG) outside the PAR continues to surge along the West Philippine Sea and the Luzon Sea, bringing moderate to extreme rainfall (30 to more than 100 mm) across Batanes & Babuyan Island Group, Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, Apayao, Benguet, La Union, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Nva. Vizcaya, Nva. Ecija, Tarlac, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metropolitan Manila, Aurora, Rizal, Laguna, Quezon, Batangas, Lubang Island, Oriental Mindoro and Calamian Group today through Tuesday morning (June 12). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGEREDand VIOLET Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
