The combined effects of the Trough of Tropical Depression MARILYN and the prevailing Westerlies (Westerly Surface Windflow) will bring moderate to heavy rainfall (30 to 100 mm) across Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Metropolitan Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Burias Island, Ticao Island, Masbate, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Iloilo, Guimaras Island, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Kalayaan Island Group, Palawan, Zamboanga Del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay, Lanao Del Norte, Lanao Del Sur, Maguindanao, Sultan Kudarat & Sarangani – Today through Friday evening (September 13). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE & RED Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides. Elsewhere, the Severe Weather Warning has been lowered.
