Rain Alert Update No. 03 (As of 7:00 PM Fri January 12, 2018)

The combined effect of strong surge of Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and a Tail-end of Stationary Front will bring moderate to heavy rainfall (30 to 100 mm) across Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Laguna, Batangas, Mindoro, Romblon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, Ticao & Masbate, Samar, Leyte, Biliran Is., Cebu, Dinagat & Siargao Is., Negros Occidental, Aklan, Antique, Capiz and Iloilo today through Saturday evening (January 13). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE and RED Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides. Elsewhere, the weather should improve already as the Rain Alerts have now been lowered.
