The thick rain bands associated with the enhanced Warm Easterlies (Easterly Trade Wind) and Typhoon PHANFONE (URSULA) will bring moderate to extreme rainfall (30 to more than 100 mm) across Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Aurora, Quezon, Polilio Island, Rizal, Laguna, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Marinduque, Lubang Island, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Semirara Island, Boracay Island, Romblon, Antique, Aklan, Capiz, Iloilo, Guimaras Island, Negros Occidental, Palawan, Calamian Group, Coron Group, Linapacan Island, Cabulauan Group, Quiniluban Islands, Cuyo Islands & Kalayaan Island Group (KIG) – Today through Thursday afternoon (December 26). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE, RED & VIOLET Rain Alert have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides. Elsewhere, the Severe Weather Warning has been lowered.
