The thick rain bands associated with the enhanced Northeasterlies (Northeasterly Trade Wind) and Typhoon PHANFONE (URSULA) is bringing moderate to extreme rainfall (30 to more than 100 mm) across Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Aurora, Quezon, Polilio Island, Rizal, Laguna, Batangas, Marinduque, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Semirara Island, Boracay Island, Romblon, Ticao Island, Burias Island, Masbate, Antique, Aklan, Capiz, Iloilo, Guimaras Island, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Bohol, Cebu, Bantayan Island, Siquijor Island, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Western Samar, Eastern Samar, Homonhon Island, Calamian Group, Coron Group, Cabulauan Group, Quiniluban Islands, Cuyo Islands, Cagayancillo Islands, Dinagat Island, Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte & Agusan del Norte – Today through Wednesday evening (December 25). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE, RED & VIOLET Rain Alert have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides. Elsewhere, the Severe Weather Warning has been lowered.
