Rain Alert Update No. 02 (As of 5:20 PM Sun Jan 20, 2019)

Weak Tropical Disturbance (LPA) 01W [AMANG] continues to struggle under the prevailing Northeast Monsoon (AMIHAN) bringing moderate to extreme rainfall (30 to  more than 100 mm) across Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Ticao & Masbate, Northern Samar, Samar, Eastern Samar, Homonhon, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Bohol, Cebu, Bantayan & Siquijor Island, Aklan, Capiz, Iloilo, Guimaras, Negros Occidental & Negros Oriental, Camiguin, Dinagat & Siargao Islands, Surigao Del Norte, Surigao Del Sur, Zamboanga Del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Zamboanga Del Sur, Lanao Del Norte, Misamis Oriental, Agusan Del Norte, Agusan Del Sur Bukidnon – Today through Monday afternoon (January 21). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGERED, VIOLET Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides. Elsewhere, the Severe Weather Warning has already been lowered.
