The thick rainbands associated with TROPICAL DEPRESSION KAI-TAK (URDUJA) will bring moderate to extreme rainfall (30 to more than 100 mm) over Samar Province, Leyte Province, Biliran, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Northern Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Eastern Lanao del Norte, Bohol, Northern and Central Cebu, Northeastern Negros Occidental, Eastern Aklan, Eastern Capiz, Eastern Iloilo, Masbate, Burias Island, Ticao Island, Southwestern Romblon, Sorsogon, Albay, and Southern Camarines Sur today through Friday afternoon (December 15). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE, RED, and VIOLET Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
