Rain Alert Update No. 02 (As of 12:20 PM Fri Sep 14, 2018)

The rainbands of the approaching Super Typhoon Mangkhut (OMPONG) coupled with the enhanced Moderate Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is bringing moderate to extreme rainfall (30 to more than 100 mm) over Batanes and Babuyan Island Group, Cagayan, Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Mt. Province, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Ifugao, Nva. Vizcaya, Nva. Ecija, Quirino, Aurora, Tarlac, Zambales, Pampanga, Bataan, Bulacan, Metropolitan Manila, Rizal, Quezon and Polilio Island, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Bataan, Corregidor & Lubang Island, Occidental & Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Aklan, Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras, Negros Occidental & Negros Oriental, Cuyo & Cagayancillo Island, Rest of mainland Palawan and the Kalayaan Island Group (KIG)   Today through Saturday afternoon (September 15). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGERED, VIOLET Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
