The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) as enhanced by Typhoon JONGDARI (outside of PAR/heading towards Japan) will continue to bring moderate to heavy rainfall (30 to 100 mm) across Southern Bataan, Metropolitan Manila, Corregidor Islands, Cavite, Westernmost Part of Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, Lubang Island, Calamian Group of Islands, Northern Palawan, Pamalican Island, Western and Southern Parts of Panay including Boracay and Guimaras – today through Saturday early evening (July 28). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE and RED Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides. Elsewhere, the Rain Warnings have now been lowered.
WeatherPhilippines has upgraded its features with a current warning menu. Within this menu there are wind and rain warnings. These warnings will give you color coded alerts depending on its severity. This will show you an overview of the entire Philippine map and quickly determine weather warning alerts. This feature is currently available and ready for use. Below is the Weather Severity Matrix.
To get detailed warning, select a particular weather station on the map and get more information on the warning alert.
