Rain Alert Update No. 01 (As of 2:50 PM Wed November 08, 2017)

The combined effects of the prevailing NORTHEASTERLIES (NORTHEASTERLY WINDFLOW) and the approaching TROPICAL DISTURBANCE (LPA) 99W will bring Moderate Rainfall (30 to 50 mm) over Quezon, Mindoro, Marinduque, Camarines Provinces, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, Burias & Ticao Is., Masbate, Romblon, Samar, Leyte, Biliran, Ponson & Bantayan Is., Cebu, Antique, Capiz, Iloilo and Negros Occidental – beginning today through Thursday afternoon (November 09). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
