Rain Alert Update No. 01 (As of 2:20 AM Aug 24, 2019)

The combined effects of the Westerlies (Westerly Surface Windflow) & Southwesterlies (Southwesterly Surface Windflow) induced by Tropical Storm BAILU (INENG) will bring moderate to extreme rainfall (30 to more than 100 mm) across Batanes & Babuyan Island Group, Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, Kalinga, Apayao, Mountain Province, La Union, Pangasinan, Ifugao, Benguet, Tarlac, Zambales, Pampanga, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, Calamian Group & Group of Coron Islands, Kalayaan Island Group & Antique – Today through Sunday early morning (August 25). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE, RED, & VIOLET Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
