Typhoon LEKIMA (HANNA) has left the northern PAR line but it continues to pull in the Southwest Monsoon (HABAGAT) bringing moderate to extreme rainfall (30 to more than 100 mm) across Calayan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Benguet, La Union, Nva. Vizcaya, Pangasinan, Nva. Ecija, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Bataan, Metropolitan Manila, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, Lubang Island, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Kalayaan Island Group (KIG), Antique, Aklan, Capiz, Iloilo & Guimaras – Today through Saturday afternoon (August 10). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE, RED, & VIOLET Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
