Rain Alert Update No. 01 (As of 3:20 PM Mon February 12, 2018)

The combined effect of the surge of the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and the approaching Tropical Storm SANBA (BASYANG)  will bring moderate to extreme rainfall (30 to more than 100 mm) across Occidental & Oriental Mindoro, Camarines Norte & Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, CatanduanesTicao, Masbate & Sibuyan Isl., Antique, Aklan, Capiz, Iloilo, Guimaras Isl., Negros Occidental & Negros Oriental, Cebu, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Samar, Biliran Isl., Leyte, Southern Leyte, Dinagat & Siargao Isl., Surigao Del Norte & Surigao Del Sur, Agusan Del Norte, Agusan Del Sur, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Camiguin Isl., Zamboanga Del Norte, Zamboanga Del Sur, Lanao Del Norte, Lanao Del Sur, Bukidnon, Cotabato, Compostela Valley and Davao Oriental today through Tuesday afternoon (February 13). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE, RED, and VIOLET Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
