Rain Alert Update No. 01 (As of 09:15 PM Thu June 07, 2018)

The enhanced Southwesterly wind flow (Southwesterlies) is developing along the West Philippine Sea and will bring moderate to extreme rainfall (30 to more than 100 mm) across Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Benguet, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metropolitan Manila, Cavite, Batangas; Lubang Isl., Mindoro, Romblon, Burias & Ticao Isl., Masbate, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon; Antique, Aklan, Capiz, Iloilo, Guimaras Isl., Negros Occidental & Negros Oriental; Palawan including the Kalayaan Island Group (KIG) today through Friday evening (June 08). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGEREDand VIOLET Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
