Rainbands associated with the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), enhanced by Tropical Storm MAWAR (located outside of PAR) will bring moderate to sometimes heavy rains across Western Ilocos Norte, Western Ilocos Sur, La Union, Western Benguet, Western Pangasinan, and Western Zambales today through Saturday afternoon (September 02). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) has been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
Meanwhile, all rain alerts previously hoisted are now lifted.
WeatherPhilippines has upgraded its features with a current warning menu. Within this menu there are wind and rain warnings. These warnings will give you color coded alerts depending on its severity. This will show you an overview of the entire Philippine map and quickly determine weather warning alerts. This feature is currently available and ready for use. Below is the Weather Severity Matrix.
To get detailed warning, select a particular weather station on the map and get more information on the warning alert.
