The thick rain bands associated with TROPICAL STORM DOKSURI (MARING), its TROUGH and along with it the enhanced SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) is at least gradually receding but it still continues to bring at times Moderate Rainfall (30 to 50 mm) over Aurora, Occidental Mindoro and the rest of the Kalayaan Island Group (KIG) off Palawan – beginning today through Thursday early morning (September 14). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
