The thick rain bands associated with TROPICAL STORM MARING (DOKSURI), its TROUGH and the enhanced SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) are expected to bring Moderate to Heavy Rainfall (30 to 100 mm) over Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Corregidor Is., Lubang Is., Occidental and Oriental Mindoro, Ambulong Is., Tablas Is., Marinduque Is., Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Semirara Is., Carabao and Boracay Is., Calamian Is. Group, Group of Coron Is., Quiniluban Is., Aklan, Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras Is., Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental, Cagayancillo Is., Palawan and Kalayaan Is. Group (KIG) – beginning today through Thursday morning (September 14). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE and RED Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
