Rain Alert Update #004 (As of 04:50 PM Fri July 28, 2017)

The Strong surge of the Southwest Monsoon (HABAGAT) is reaching its peak as it continues to impact the Western sections of Luzon including parts of Central Luzon, MiMaRoPa, and Northern part of Antique pulled in by both TROPICAL DEPRESSION 12W off Luzon Sea and SEVERE TROPICAL STORM NESAT (GORIO) in the vicinity of Northern East Philippine Sea bringing ”on-and-off” moderate to torrential rains across Batanes and Babuyan Is. Group., Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Benguet, Abra, Pangasinan, Zambales, Pampanga, Tarlac, Nueva Vizcaya, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Quezon, Aurora, Rizal, including Metropolitan Manila, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Maricaban Is., Mindoro, Ambulong Is., Semirara Is., Busuanga Is., Culion Is., and Linapacan Is. today through Saturday afternoon (July 29). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the VIOLET, RED and ORANGE Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
