The thick rainbands associated with the Southwesterly Windflow (enhanced by the departing LPA 91W) will bring moderate to heavy rains over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Western Apayao, Abra, Westermost part of Mountain Province, Benguet, La Union, Pangasinan, Northwestern part of Tarlac, Zambales, Western Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro including Lubang Is. today through Friday afternoon (September 01). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE and RED Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
Meanwhile, all rain alerts elsewhere are now lifted.
