Thick rainbands associated with a strong InterTropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) are bringing moderate to at times heavy rains across Surigao Provinces incl. Dinagat and Siargao, Northern Parts of Davao Oriental and Agusan Del Norte today through Sunday afternoon (May 14). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
WeatherPhilippines has upgraded its features with a current warning menu. Within this menu there are wind and rain warnings. These warnings will give you color coded alerts depending on its severity.
