The Strong surge of the Southwest Monsoon (HABAGAT) continues to impact the Western sections of Luzon including parts of Central Luzon and MiMaRoPa as induced by both TROPICAL DISTURBANCE 92W off Luzon Sea and TROPICAL STORM GORIO (11W) in the vicinity of the East Philippine Sea bringing ”on-and-off” moderate to heavy rains across Cagayan, Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bajo de Masinloc, Pampanga, Bataan, including Metropolitan Manila, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro, Semirara Is., and Busuanga Is. today through Friday afternoon (July 28). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the RED and ORANGE Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
