The thick rain bands associated with the Trough of Tropical Disturbance (LPA) 90W continues to bring moderate to at times heavy rains across parts of Northern, and Western Samar including Eastern Samar, Eastern and Southernmost portions of Leyte and Homonhon Island, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte and Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental and Davao Occidental, Southern parts of Compostela Valley, Sarangani, South Cotabato including the Southernmost part of Sultan Kudarat today through Wednesday afternoon (Mar 08). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
