Rain Alert Update #003 (As of 09:15 PM Sat September 23, 2017)

TROPICAL DISTURBANCE (LPA) 90W has strengthened into a TROPICAL DEPRESSION and was named NANDO over the West Philippine Sea. It will exit PAR tonight while the SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) weakened significantly, but will bring Moderate Rainfall (30 to 50 mm) over Ilocos Norte, Western Abra, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Western Benguet, Western &  Central Pangasinan – beginning today through Sunday morning (September 24). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides. Elsewhere, the weather should improve already as the Rain Alerts have now been lowered.

Keep safe, everyone! #WeatherAlert #WeatherWiser
