Rain Alert Update #002 (As of 4:15 PM Wed July 26, 2017)

The Strong surge of the Southwest Monsoon (HABAGAT) continues to impact the Western sections of Luzon including parts of Central Luzon and MiMaRoPa as induced by gradually intensifying TROPICAL DEPRESSION GORIO (11W) to the East of Luzon bringing ”on-and-off” moderate to heavy rains across Ilocos Norte, La Union, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, parts of IsabelaAbra, Benguet, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Pangasinan, Zambales including Bajo de Masinloc, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metropolitan Manila, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro Occidental and Oriental, Busuanga Is. and Semirara Is. today through Thursday afternoon (July 27). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the RED and ORANGE Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
