The Trough extension from a Stationary Front have already receded and gradually dissipated. However, the broad and thick rain bands associated with Wind Convergence will bring moderate rains across Eastern Visayas, Eastern Leyte, Eastern Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Northern Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte, and Eastern Misamis Oriental today through Friday afternoon (Feb 24). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
WeatherPhilippines has upgraded its features with a current warning menu. Within this menu there are wind and rain warnings. These warnings will give you color coded alerts depending on its severity. This will show you an overview of the entire Philippine map and quickly determine weather warning alerts. This feature is currently available and ready for use. Below is the Weather Severity Matrix.
