Rainbands associated with the approaching TROPICAL DISTURBANCE (LPA) 91W will bring moderate, heavy to extreme rains across Samar Provinces, Northern Leyte including Biliran Islands, Masbate including Ticao and Burias Islands, Catanduanes, Eastern Camarines Sur (Partido District), Albay, and Sorsogon – Today through Tuesday Afternoon (Mar 21). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the VIOLET, ORANGE and RED Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
Meanwhile, previous areas with hoisted rain alerts are now lifted.
