The combined effects of the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan), remnants of Ex-Tropical Disturbance 90W (LPA), and another Trough located to the east of Davao Oriental will continue to bring moderate to heavy rains across Southeastern Cebu, Southern Bohol, Siquijor, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Eastern Davao Oriental, Eastern Compostela Valley, Agusan del Norte, Misamis Oriental, Northern Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Sarangani, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Southwestern Maguindanao, Southeastern Zamboanga Sibugay, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi Tawi, and Southeastern Palawan today through Friday afternoon (Mar 10). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE and RED Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
