The thick rain bands associated with TROPICAL DISTURBANCE (LPA) 97W and its TROUGH are expected to bring Moderate, Heavy to Extreme Rainfall (30 to more than 100 mm) over Cagayan, Isabela, Nva. Vizcaya, Nva. Ecija, Quirino, Aurora, Polilio Is., Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, Benguet, Ifugao, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metropolitan Manila, Lubang Is., Laguna, Marinduque, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Burias Is., Banton Is., MiMaRoPa, Ambulong Is., Calagua Is., Catanduanes Is., Sorsogon, Semirara Is., Calamian Group of Is., Carabao Is., Boracay Is., Aklan, Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras Is., Cagayancillo Is., Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Jintotolo Is., Ticao Is., Northern Samar, Samar and the Kalayaan Is. Group (KIG) – beginning today through Wednesday morning (September 13). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE, RED, and VIOLET Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
