TROPICAL DISTURBANCE (LPA) 90W is gathering strength while racing towards the West Philippine Sea while the SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) continues to bring Moderate, Heavy to Extreme Rainfall (30 to more than 100 mm) over Ilocos Norte, Abra, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Nva. Ecija, Zambales, Pampanga, Bulacan, Bataan and Corregidor Island – beginning today through Sunday morning (September 24). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE, RED, and VIOLET Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides. Elsewhere, the weather should improve already as the Rain Alerts have now been lowered.
WeatherPhilippines has upgraded its features with a current warning menu. Within this menu there are wind and rain warnings. These warnings will give you color coded alerts depending on its severity. This will show you an overview of the entire Philippine map and quickly determine weather warning alerts. This feature is currently available and ready for use. Below is the Weather Severity Matrix.
To get detailed warning, select a particular weather station on the map and get more information on the warning alert.
