The thick banding rain clouds associated with the TROUGH of TROPICAL STORM PAKHAR (JOLINA) is fast approaching Eastern Luzon and parts of Visayas, and is being felt widely across Batanes and Babuyan Is. Group, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quirino, Apayao, Abra, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Benguet, Nva. Ecija, Nva. Vizcaya, La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, Panatag Shoal, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bataan, Corregidor Is., Bulacan, Metropolitan Manila, Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, Maricaban Is., Verde Is., Lubang Is., Mindoro, Ambulong Is., Rizal, Quezon, Polilio Is., Alabat Is., Romblon, Marinduque, Semirara Is., Carabao Is., Boracay Is., Panay Is., Guimaras Is., Negros Is., Cebu Is., Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, Burias Is., Ticao Is., Masbate, Romblon Is., Northern Samar, Samar, Quiniluban and Cuyo Is. Group, Cagayancillo Is., Palawan and Kalayaan Is. Group (KIG) today through Saturday afternoon (August 26). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE, RED and VIOLET Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
