The consolidating rainbands associated with passage of the TROUGH of developing TROPICAL DISTURBANCE 98W (LPA) over the Eastern edge of Northern Luzon will bring moderate to at times heavy rains across Batanes Island Group and Babuyan Island Group off Extreme Northern Luzon. Meanwhile, another TROUGH of developing TROPICAL DISTURBANCE 99W (LPA) is approaching parts of Eastern Visayas and Northeastern tip of Mindanao, bringing moderate at times heavy rains across the Southernmost tip of Eastern Samar, including Guiuan and Homonhon Island, Dinagat Island, Siargao and Anajauan Islands today through Saturday afternoon (July 22). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
