Rain Alert Update #001 (As of 6:45 PM Wed May 24, 2017)

The Rainbands associated with the SURFACE TROUGH and the prevailing SOUTHWESTERLY SURFACE WINDFLOW (SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS) will bring moderate to at times heavy rains across Eastern part of Quezon, Western part of Camarines Sur, Northern part of El Nido, Palawan, Eastern Capiz, and Northern Iloilo, including Calayan, Dalupiri and Fuga Is., Western and Northern portions of Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Western, Northern and Southern part of Abra, La Union, Western part of Benguet, Pangasinan, Western and Northern portion of Zambales, Tarlac, Northern and Eastern part of Pampanga, Western, Northern and Southern portion of Nueva Ecija, Southern part of Kalinga, Central, Southern and Eastern section of Mountain Province, Western and Southern part of Isabela, Northern and Eastern portion of Quirino, Northern part of Bulacan, Central and Eastern Batangas, Southern Quezon, Camarines Norte, Western and Southern part of Camarines Sur, Western and Central part of Sorsogon, Burias, Ticao and Masbate Is., Northern and Eastern portion of Romblon, Northern Calamian Is. Group, Linapacan Is., Semirara, Carabao and Boracay Is., Western and Eastern part of Aklan, Antique, Northern and Central part of Capiz, Iloilo, Guimaras Is., Southern Negros Occidental, Western and Southern part of Negros Oriental, Central and Eastern part of Cebu, Camotes Is., Northern Samar, Northern and Southern Samar, Eastern Samar, Eastern and Southern Leyte, Northern and Eastern Zamboanga Del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Zamboanga Del Sur, Western part of Lanao Del Norte, Southern Camiguin Is., Northern Dinagat Is., Northern part of Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, Western Agusan Del Norte and Northern Agusan Del Sur, tonight through Thursday morning (May 25). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the RED and ORANGE Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
