The Southwest Monsoon (HABAGAT) is advancing over the West Philippine Sea and Luzon Sea as induced by developing TROPICAL DISTURBANCE 99W (LPA) to the East of Bicol Region is bringing moderate to at times heavy rains across the Western sections of Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur, Silaquil and Santiago Islands, Western part of Pangasinan, Western and Southern Zambales, Western part of Bataan, Lubang Is., Northwestern tip of Mindoro Occidental, Western Calamian Group, Northernmost tip of Palawan, including the Northernmost Kalayaan Island Group (KIG) today through Wednesday afternoon (July 26). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
