Rain Alert Update #001 (As of 2:15 PM Wed October 11, 2017)

The thick rainbands associated with the combined effects of Trough of Tropical Disturbance (LPA) 90W and Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring moderate rainfall (30 to 50 mm) over Batanes Group of Islands, Babuyan Group of Islands, Northern sections of Ilocos Norte and Apayao, Northern and Eastern sections of Cagayan, and Eastern sections of Isabela today through Thursday afternoon (October 12). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
