Rainbands associated with the approaching TROPICAL DEPRESSION 02W (CRISING) and its TROUGH will bring moderate to heavy rains across Southern Masbate, Maripipi Is., Biliran Is., Southern parts of Western and Eastern Samar, Homonhon Is., Southernmost Albay, Central, Eastern and Southern Sorsogon, Batan Is., Rapu-Rapu Is., Ticao Is., Sibuyan Is., Rest of Masbate, Jintotolo Is., Northern and Eastern parts of Capiz, Northern Iloilo, Balbagon Is., North and South Gigante Is., Tulunanaun Is., Binuluangan Is., Calagnaan Is., Sicogon Is., Pan De Azucar Is., Malangaban Is., Tago Is., Igbon Is., Tagubanhan Is., Anauayan Is., Bantayan Is., Guintacan Is., Northern and Eastern Cebu, Mactan Is., Northeastern Negros Occidental, Central Negros Is., Northwestern Leyte, Central and Eastern Leyte, Hibusan Is., Dinagat and Siargao Is., Northern and Eastern Surigao Del Norte, Northern and Eastern Surigao Del Sur, Western Agusan Del Norte, Northern and Central Agusan Del Sur including Eastern Bukidnon today through Sunday afternoon (Apr 16). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the RED and ORANGE Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
