The thick rainbands associated with the EASTERLIES (EASTERLY TRADE WINDS) will bring moderate to at times heavy rains across Samar and Leyte provinces, Biliran Is., Northern and Eastern parts of Cebu and Bohol, Camotes Is., Northern and Eastern portions of Aklan, Capiz, including Iloilo province, Northern and Eastern sections of Negros Occidental, and Northern Negros Oriental, Dinagat and Siargao Is., Surigao Del Norte and Surigao Del Sur, Eastern parts of Agusan Del Norte and Agusan Del Sur, Eastern portions of Davao Del Norte and Compostela Valley, Davao Oriental today through Friday morning (May 12). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
