Rain Alert Update #001 (As of 10:30 PM Sun Mar 19, 2017)

Rainbands associated with the approaching TROPICAL DISTURBANCE (LPA) 91W and its TROUGH will bring moderate to heavy rains across Leyte and Samar Provinces including Camotes and Biliran Islands, Surigao Del Norte, Dinagat and Siargao Islands, Northern Tip of Surigao Del Sur, and the Northern Tip of Agusan Del Norte – beginning  Tonight through Monday Evening (Mar 20).  The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE and RED Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
